I can't help but notice that like half the replies here are from disabled/chronically ill people who have been pushed out of organizing spaces by groups that refuse to wear masks or take other covid precautions. 😭
Sincere question and I hope we can make a safe place for this discussion, are there people out there who feel like they don't know how to get involved and make a difference?

It's why organizing, not just mobilizing for a specific thing, is so vital. When you don't have an organization to work with, the feeling of individual responsibility can be crushing. But when you're working with people you can be involved a healthy & reasonable amount. And your help will mean more!

It’s no guarantee but the first thing you should do if you see an outrageous story that’s just an image or screenshot or video with no link to a reputable source is to check the replies and see if someone is saying “that’s an AI fake.” And then don’t spread it either way because it’s not sourced.

In November lots of Texans were turning up at the ER presenting with flu. Please go get your vaccines if you haven't had them yet, it's going to be a long winter and you don't want the flu. And nor do your loved ones, kids, parents, coworkers, schools, churches, passers by, etc.

always strange to talk about but when i see everyone around me accepting sickness when i have been doing just one thing different while attending movies parties bars concerts flights…….i feel morally obligated to occasionally mention that wearing a mask has been a game changer. simple as that

Really, spreading covid was one thing when we didn’t know how to stop it, but continuing for years after we’ve known that combo masks, vaccines and air purification work wonders together, why are we still behaving like we’re in the dark ages and have to catch this thing?

I have often found, actually, that I can tell everything I need to know about whether or not a cis man is a real one by whether he maintains a juvenile mockery towards menstruation well into adulthood or whether he takes the many, many aspects of menstrual justice seriously
See how our friend Will focuses on tampons because he is both totally grossed out and also has no idea about the politics of period products.
While protesting abortion bans in Texas, tampons were confiscated at security because they were afraid we would throw cotton balls at politicians.
