surprise i just dropped a new article! i had a lot of thoughts about how people don't know how to engage with fiction, which ties into chatgpt delusion & book bans among other things. big thanks to @cxorlando.bsky.social for telling me to write about it when i posted a throwaway insta story

To a T is one of the most fun games I've played in ages. You're a teen who is always in a t pose, navigating life. It's equal parts charming, heartfelt and absurd.

Created by the guy who made Katamari Damacy and features a song from the creator of Steven Universe. Can't beat that!

I’ve been writing about the Supreme Court and its treatment of both LGBTQ and religious liberty issues for more than two decades. Today was the most alarming argument I’ve attended or listened to for queer people — and as to the court majority’s religious supremacy project.
SCOTUS conservatives seem eager to increase parents' religious rights in public schools
Tuesday's arguments over Montgomery County schools' story-time sessions included alarming questions about LGBTQ people.

The SCOTUS feels the harm done to LGBTQ youth in having no representation or education about themselves whatsoever is outweighed by the “harm” of straight kids and parents having to know that queer people exist.
Arguments in this case today went horribly for the school board. The six Republican-appointed justices sound eager to craft a maximalist decision that effectively gives religious parents a sweeping new constitutional right to veto LGBTQ materials (and much more) in public school curricula.
Right now, the Supreme Court is hearing Mahmoud v. Taylor, a case engineered to give religious parents a veto over curricula at public schools, especially LGBTQ materials.

SCOTUS intervened prematurely—in what seems to be a rush to side with the anti-LGBTQ parents. slate.com/news-and-pol...
