And my son is presently watching some "Brainrot" video of a whale w/ 3 legs wearing tennis shoes, talking & gliding on top of the ocean, & now it just flew to the moon. I can't believe this is something I just typed, and I swear I'm not hallucinating and am lucid. Apparently its name is Orcalero?

Teaching three MWF classes for the first time in at least 15 years or more. 50-minute classes are something else, I feel like I'm barely getting going before I look up and class is over! I've always had either 1hr-15 min. Tue-Thurs classes or a 2.5 hour seminar from like 3 to 5:30 (still have 1).

Decided to take a break from watching horrors unfold, to take the fam to a 'Battle of the brushes' event. We were sorely mistaken, thinking we were actually entering the art competition but it was to watch other artists. However someone cancelled due to weather so my daughter & friend got to enter.

Once again, a student complained to my wife that I was being "overly familiar" and hanging around acting like I was into her (my wife that is) and she had to tell them "well yeah we've been married going on 20 years now!" I have family photos of us on my lab & faculty pages for goodness sakes! 😅🙄
Something like that has happened a few times actually. A couple times when I was dropping by to chat about child care or child pickup & colleagues said to one of us "That's nice you pick up her kids for her" or "you let him just pick up your kids?" Not realizing we're married
