They always make this threat and it never materializes. Here's the New York Post fear mongering about the wealthy leaving NYC under de Blasio. Look around. Does New York have fewer millionaires and billionaires than in 2014?

We had been starting to make progress on the government’s often ruinous dependency on software contractors and expensive vendors, but DOGE came in to put an end to that and destroy technical capabilities inside of govt.

I see there’s a post about microplastics going around with a photo of drinking straws, so here is my semi-regular reminder that the 3 biggest sources of microplastics are tires (45%), synthetic clothing particles (35%) and paint (~10%).

This is very fun for the organ music (and I like the added light percussion!), but also can we admire that logo design for a second? The H in the negative space with the whale tail is just *chefs kiss*

I just really appreciate my senator being unapologetic and vocal of his support of the trans and nonbinary community. My trans and NB friends and family deserve the ability to live their lives freely and without fear.
The Trump administration is trying to cut off access to gender affirming care. I am with the transgender and nonbinary community in this moment of anger and fear. We cannot, and will not, let this stand.

Three Democrats (Cuellar, Gonzalez, and Davis) joined the Republicans to pass Marjorie Taylor Greene's federal ban on gender affirming care through the House of Representatives.
It is repugnant that the federal government won't give people health care, but it will TAKE IT AWAY from trans people.
