Do you know how many motorists I saw run red lights on my walk in this morning? Not running a yellow or a fresh red, I mean cut into traffic and pedestrians to ignore a red at speed. Do you know how many I see in a week? Driving the wrong way down a one way as a shortcut? Passing on the sidewalk?
I was listening to a story on NPR this morning about the precautions transit riders are taking in the wake of this murder, and yet millions of people engage in the highly risky activity of driving multiple times a day without a second thought.
