Theaters. Hiking. Oakland. Movies - these days a lot of horror and a lot of '40s and '50s (and often '40s and '50s horror).
I mean, I'd boycott Walgreens but they've made it easy by one-by-one closing stores in all my bustling neighborhoods.
Is this good? It doesn't seem good.

"Walgreens will no longer give many of its retail workers paid vacation time for Thanksgiving, Christmas and other major holidays, as the company looks to cut costs under new owners."

Step 1 in the complicated process of rebooting/reintroducing James Bond to an audience that saw the last James Bond movie is having the new person playing James Bond introduce himself as, "Bond. James Bond," early in his first movie. There is no Step 2. From there, just make a good James Bond movie.
If you're having trouble sorting out the continuity of James Bond, that suggests to me that you do not understand the enduring appeal of James Bond. Continuity is not that franchise's strong suit. It's been soft rebooted repeatedly, and everyone understands. Dumb People Problems.

This is what I try to always tell people: food banks can do way more with your money than you can, due to bulk buying deals. And they can do way, way more with your money than with the canned goods you didn’t want to eat
spoke with the executive director of my local food bank today and got this really incredible line: "if you donate 1 can of green beans, we can give away 1 can of green beans. but if you donate a dollar, we can give away 6 cans of green beans"

How is this weird? This was just growing up -- I'd think any of my friends and I can say we did all of these (except maybe 9, though we definitely owned and listened to them)
I did all of these, but 9 only as a joke. I once put a Sony Sports boombox on top my car tho, and drove away before noticing, and it fell off (it was ok).

I love that Zohran did not praise Cuomo in his speech. You absolutely do not have to say nice things about bad people. We should normalize that in “polite” politics: Praising bad people is not actually “civility.”

Your regular reminder that the number of trans kids using puberty blockers to delay puberty is tiny, and the vast majority of prescriptions for the medication in children and adolescents are used to delay precocious puberty in cisgender kids.
Because it’s cis kids.
The NHS will quite casually give cis kids whatever treatment they need, even PBs👇
No trials. No concerns about side effects. No moral panic.

I want them to sue him so fucking hard that they end up owning the letters "RFK".
RFK Jr. admitted today that he has no "sufficient" proof of a link between Tylenol use during pregnancy and autism, calling his evidence "suggestive."

Can't wait to see the size of Tylenol's lawsuit.

Because I think someone's gonna need a Tylenol.
