Unsure?

Ask to have your titers drawn and find out if you still have coverage.
*sigh*

Reminder: Are your vaccinations up to date? Are your children's vaccinations also up to date?

Thread.
So as someone who's a professional creator, and has always been a creator of art in many mediums ...

I've encountered a lot of people in life

A LOT OF PEOPLE

who want to do art, who think they have good ideas for art, but don't want to do the work

Now...
If a machine can fart out a 400-page novel based on any stray shower thought, why would even the “author” want to read it?

But they don’t get it. Or maybe they do but are in deep denial

I am a non-seroconverter for the measles vaccine. This means I have no immunity to measles despite being vaccinated multiple times. By ensuring your vaccinations are up to date you help limit the spread of measles, which by extension protects non-seeocoverters such as myself

Your local librarian here to say that it’s great if you read lots of books this year, alright if you read barely anything, that audiobooks, romance and graphic novels are all valid formats and genres, and that some authors suck but we’re still not stopping you from reading them.

Nothing says "publisher prepping for 2026" like adding "Both of us promise to never never NEVER use genAI in this project, and if either of us do, deal's fuck'n OFF" clause to your publishing contracts.

evangelicals be fucking normal in public: challenge level impossible
As soon as homeboy says “We are taking this flight over for Jesus” and stands up with his guitar, I’m smashing that stewardess button so hard.

I know from a fair bit of experience that these in-your-face guitar proselytizers are smug, insufferable twerps who haven’t been told “No” enough times.
This Guy Sang Christian Worship Songs Mid-Flight, and People Are Fuming
The Singaporean strummed his guitar as he belted out a worship song on an EasyJet flight out of Poland, where he was volunteering with Ukrainian refugees.

Which so many trans people said was exactly what was going to happen
You know a thing that is very bad about this? This is the anti-trans playbook being played against women. Start with 'has the x movement failed the people it's supposed to help', then infantilize them, then make the case they can't be responsible for their own choices, then take their rights away

We’re going to see stuff like “The DOJ released these pages which match these emails from the Epstein estate but Section 4c is removed from the DOJ files so let’s compare and see what the other copy says…HOLY CRAP!!!” and this might speed the eternal damnation up tbh.

My shitty take is batch releases are good, actually, bc the people checking multiple data points for confirmation can do a better job working with several hundred thousand pages instead of millions.

Goes without saying they’d censor the most damning stuff, so what will come out now is not the worst

like, I'm arrogant as all hell, I know I'm good, my research was the kind that was getting me international guest speaker gigs consistently, I have inordinate amounts of luck and I network obscenely well for a nerd ...

I work in energy policy because there are no jobs in humanities academia. NONE.
DEI isn't why you didn't get a job. THERE ARE NO JOBS. YOU DIDN'T GET A JOB BECAUSE THERE ARE NO JOBS. If all the older professors retired? You still wouldn't get a job! Not in the humanities! Because they'll replace at best half of those lines! There will still be no jobs! None!

Pillsbury Bake-Off cookbooks from the 1960s are chock-full of quirky recipe titles that double as euphemisms.
Which of these winning recipes from the 1967 Pillsbury Bake-Off would make the best euphemism?

I'm leaning toward Top Me Twice Cake, but Hot Turkey Hustle Up is a real contender.

If I can have a dollar for every time a movie depicts a dystopian city as a walkable place with high-density housing and public transit. I know New York was a bad place, but the 80s were 40 years ago.
Anyway, I love Edgar Wright, but this movie blows. It doesn't even feel like an Edgar Wright movie.

Watching people's discourse about Where Winds Meet is giving me an aneurysm. So, let's engage the good vibes protocol.

Dr. Wai (1996) is a Hong Kong adventure film in which Jet Li plays Kung Fu Indiana Jones, tracking down an ancient magical treasure in WWII-era China.
It's bad. But it's fun.
