Thanks, Gabino!
There’s been a lot of talk of aging and life stories this week, so for #FridayReads I would like to mention my autobiography, 41, my story of becoming a horror author, my mom’s passing at only 40 right after 9/11, and breaking cycles of trauma.

Men, why try to look cool reading just any book when you can look bad ass as all hell with one of my book covers?

Prisoner swap: drug possession prisoners for everyone that’s against healthcare, SNAP, and checks & balances.
Once again, I'm largely against prisons, but most US Senators should probably be in one for the rest of their lives. Fuck all these people.

After last Tuesday, today is a disappointment. Maybe Congress refuses for some reason on Wednesday. However, if Adelita Grijalva is seated and the Epstein files are finally released? It’s the only silver lining I can think of. I hope it’s worth it.

Yo, @schumer.senate.gov. You’re on deck, bud. Be on the right side of history.
Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

I don’t know how to google this—who is for and against? Because if it was along party lines, R’s would need 7 D’s. I keep seeing something like 10 or 11 D’s ready to support. I think I’ve heard multiple R’s not supporting the package to reopen, but not who (maybe MTG?). Who, what, when, where, why?
Here's the Axios article. They claim to have sources in "both parties" but they have zero people on the record, nor do they provide any explanation for why their sources were granted anonymity. Anonymous, possibly motivated rumor didn't used to be considered journalism. 2/
Deal to end government shutdown in reach
At least 10 Senate Democrats are expected to support a key procedural motion.

Taking a Wal-Mart survey:
“It’s not entirely your fault, Wal-Mart. The economy sucks, you all know it. We’re tightening our belts, your shelves are getting less diverse. Maybe fight back against authoritarianism and I’ll give you 5-stars.”

I do know, with fair certainty, this will shake the world. From hedge fund managers, realtors, multi-lettered executives from canned goods to movie studios, elected officials, installed officials—Epstein was a trap, and a LOT of people liked being in it. It’ll hurt, but ultimately deliver justice.

Did Donald post this because he is deeply dishonest or irreparably stupid? I'm thinking both . . .
With a “WOW!,” President Trump posts a claim about DOGE and “royalties linked to Obamacare” that originated on a satirical website. That site’s own About section reads: “Everything on this website is fiction… If you believe that it is real, you should have your head examined.”

Didn’t W do this and it backfired because everyone either hoarded the stimulus out of financial fears or paid off debt (which does not help the economy—and is what I did with my check because I was out of work at the time…)?
BREAKING: Trump says that Every American, who isn't a High Income earner, will get $2000 in Cash.

In other words he wants to issue a stimulus check because the economy is sucking.

In other words he wants to increase our deficit by $650 BILLION.

I think it’s safe to say, 45 is the Anti-FDR. He is FORCING Depression era hardships on the country when they don’t need to be happening. The GOP, SCOTUS, and POTUS need to be investigated by the UN for human rights violations.

I’ll admit I futzed with Dall-E before it blew up this was all plagiarism. The South Park episode where they fucked with it was its own joke on how lazy and bad it was. What South Park is doing now is even more on the nose. I get better conversation and ideas talking out loud to my cat and dogs.
Hands up if you've never used Chat GPT ✋

(I feel like Dozer and Tank in The Matrix right now - at first I didn't use it because, rather ironically, I'm lazy and stubborn (peak Taurus energy there) - literally no, don't make me use the new thing I don't wanna. Now I'm glad I didn't 😅)
Probably a good way to tell right now if the job you’re applying for is run by absolute dumbfucks is to ask if they’re using AI.

I’m sorry, I didn’t love it. It is still a good movie and there was a lot I liked. Also, the Creature is a Disney Princess, and I’m down.
A ★★★ review of Frankenstein (2025)
Gorgeous. Long. Not a faithful adaptation of the novel, but interesting choices in the deviations.

I’m not a tucker at all. Not even dress shirts. I’m flying free even in suits if I can get away with it. I hate it when I must tuck. But tucking in t-shirts just seems the worst.

It seems like, at some point, LOSING this much money when investors are involved? Should maybe be a crime…
ICYMI: Microsoft’s charge “implies a more than $12 billion quarterly loss at OpenAI, said Firoz Valliji, an analyst at Bernstein.”

That “would mark one of the largest single-quarter losses for a tech company in history.”

I, for one, prefer peacetime and rigorous qualifications for people operating weaponry regardless of political climate.
Hegseth: "We must wage an all-out campaign to streamline the Pentagon's process, to unshackle our people from unproductive work and to shift our resources from the bureaucracy to the battlefield. Our objection is simple: transform the entire acquisition system to operate on a wartime footing."
