I'm thrilled to share the cover of INCARNATE, my next horror novel, coming 9/22
I don’t use Discord much, despite having a lot of friends and supportive experiences. If it’s too drastically limited by my not sharing personal identification, that’ll be something else to delete and walk away from. Sad, really, it’s something I wish I liked using more, but this may answer that.
Starting next month, all Discord users will have limited access to features and servers until they verify their age and identity.
Discord will require a face scan or ID for full access next month

I think with any art, starting modern is best, and THEN dig into their inspirations. I enjoy the hell out of Edgar Rice Burroughs’ books, but that’s because I grew up with Star Wars. As you grow with the art you dig, it’s cool to see old and modern influence take shape. But—neither is *necessary.*
Yup. This is also why I get annoyed when people start suggesting "golden age" science fiction titles to people who are new the genre and are asking for suggestions. You want to turn a modern 15-year-old off science fiction forever, recommend stories that were old when her grandparents were her age.
When people ask how to get into GA SF I always say that the right way is via some of those fat "Best Of" short fiction collections
