Head's up there is a Bluesky ban scam going around. This account just joined 40 mins ago and send me this DM.

DO NOT CLICK THE LINK.

Bluesky would NEVER send a DM like this and make you scared. This would come through email and would have a more professional email than this.

Stay safe!

Fall is finally here. It took far too long, but I am grateful.

So I was on a walk just now and it was dusk. And on my way back to the house, I saw a shooting star. But not like any I'd seen before. It was much larger and brighter than I'd seen before, and took a slow and steady streak across the sky that took about nine seconds long before fizzling out.

I love a bedrock stream. Imagine taking what is already the most beautiful part of a landscape and magically infusing it with whimsy and architectural zen. #hydrology

This honker is a Carnegie Collection Brachiosaurus! Pattern inspired by a Masai giraffe. He is so large and hard to photograph.

Nanotyrannus is real.

For years I’ve considered many mid-sized gracile tyrannosaurs to be juvenile T. rex.

But I was wrong. This stunning new skeleton of a mature long-armed small tyrannosaur is clearly a different species.

Isn’t science fun?!

Researchers discover new tyrannosaur species in ‘duelling dinosaurs’ fossil
Analysis of Montana fossils shows the battling predator was a fully grown Nanotyrannus, not a young T rex

is broke to bits
and all alone
i lie in sand
it stretches bare

Ozyman, Ozyman-
dias does what no mortal can
and his works? are they there?
no, but maybe still despair
This is just to say

I have looked on
the works
that were in
the desert

and which
you were probably
thinking
would still stand

Forgive me

Genuinely delighted to download a PhD thesis from a university repository where the author has neglected to remove the words "BITCH THIS IS YOUR THESIS" from the filename.

Let's start Monday with some whimsy. These delightful grasshoppers (possibly also katydids?) are from a water jar created by Makuzu Kōzan in 1870. To see full size images: www.metmuseum.org/art/collecti...
