Ok, next step is to learn how to knit in the round then! :D Some of the ladies in my group are very good at knitting, I'm sure they can help me if I get confused, haha.

Which I think is how most kids probably played the game . . . I didn't do a lot of actual city building.
Though I must have a little. I recall my older brother teaching me the cheat for this game which involved typing FUNDS to get more money for building stuff.

I would load up pre-made maps to just use the bulldoze tool and destroy everything, which I found to be the most satisfying when compared to unleashing natural disasters on the city, though I did that too of course

Another resistance quilt finished this week. The eye is my own design, the letters are a fpp pattern by QuiltByNight, the rounded corners and black binding are meant to resemble the phones we the people are using to document the horrors and disprove the government’s lies about what they are doing.

I am forced to conclude either the eggs, larvae or adults (or some combination of those) can survive being frozen into a solid block of ice for several days, which is wild.

This happened the last time with new dirt, same procedure. So I don't think it's coincidence, I think they really came from the dirt. The question is . . . how?
February 10, 2026 at 1:11 AM
Wanna know something weird, though? There are a couple fungus gnats in my room now, after using the new dirt. Even though I froze this dirt for about four days into a solid block of ice and then sealed in an airtight bag before use.

I need to get back to collecting eggshells for them. Though the Marbles don't seem to eat the eggshell, honestly, they like the softer stuff.

Begun setting up new dirt for enclosure but sadly won't be able to finish today since I'm out of calcium, need to buy more. I've been using crushed oystershell for the substrate. Honestly not sure if they even eat it though. I know my pods eat eggshell/cuttlebone/calcium carbonate powder, at least.

SHE’S FINISHED! My 5-foot-long Enterprise D oil painting is complete after nearly 100 hours of work!

I remember being 13 years old or so and trying to draw her and it was so hard, and all I wanted was to be able to do something like this. Truly a dream come true. 🥰🖖

In Minneapolis, for every story detailing the fallout of the federal crackdown, there are as many stories of people like Bri, a mom donating breastmilk for babies whose mothers are detained by ICE.

Bri's story:

Thank you so much! I will definitely do this, I've just started to learn knitting (did my first scarf) and want to try something more challenging. My crochet buddy will love the crochet version.

The whole point behind it is knowing you are not alone.

I had started wearing my Women’s March pussy hat again before this red knit hats popped up and I bought the pattern & knitted one as soon as I found a confirmation it was a real MPLS local source.
I keep hearing how pointless the knit hats are but even aside from the money those have raised, visual symbols of how many of us there are are good. It's solidarity building and keeps the goons from telling themsrlves everyone secretly agrees with them. Nobody's KNITTING a statement they dislike.

I have not heard of this before and I want to get involved. I have a craft group and would LOVE to make this a project we all do together.
