I keep hearing how pointless the knit hats are but even aside from the money those have raised, visual symbols of how many of us there are are good. It's solidarity building and keeps the goons from telling themsrlves everyone secretly agrees with them. Nobody's KNITTING a statement they dislike.

Caterpillars are adorable anyway. So there's really no downside to having them.
(I know, it's because gardeners don't want their plants eaten, but the desire to perfectly control nature and expect plants to exist without the rest of the creatures they co-evolved with is dumb.)

So. Zuccini have urticating hairs. I did not know this. I knew they had little poky fuzzy on them but in the past it's never bothered me (used to grow it). But I washed one last night for my bugs and my finger has been on fire ever since. Not visibly red but oh man it feels bad.

Alex from our time working together, while he was in nursing school. Later, he moved to ICU, working as a nurse to support critically ill Veterans. He had such a great attitude. We’d chat between patients about trying to get in a mountain bike ride together. Will never happen now
