I have looked up the tree that this leaf came from, and I believe it is a tree called a Chinese Tallow, Triadica sebifera. An interesting species with a gorgeous fall leaf.

I made a halloween mask with dyed feathers one year. Dressed as a cardinal. Real cardinal feathers are not realistic to collect so dying something like goose feathers is only realistic way to get red feathers
