- good on the field coach
- all of the brand/hype that Tucker had but actually delivers on them with competent coaching
- great fundraiser/relationships with alumni and boosters
- has that “leader of men” trait that you want in a coach

I seriously have no idea why you’d hire Pat Fitzgerald. He wasn’t a playcaller or strategic mind, his whole schtick was selling Northwestern Culture because he played there, and then it turns out that culture featured a brutal atmosphere of sexual hazing

Michigan State calling timeout with 51 seconds left ahead of 3rd-and-2 was such an obviously bad decision when it happened. Let the clock run so Iowa can't get the ball back w/ time.
Instead, 3rd down incomplete, Iowa gets the ball back, drives down for a winning a FG.

as I said last night: this isn’t even a particularly very good Michigan team. They have a talented freshman QB, a top 50 player at RB, a good No. 2 and young players up front. very beatable, as we saw. msu wanted no part of it.

Skubal has made two bad pitches all night: the fastballs down the middle to Polanco that became home runs. Tiger hitters are getting one of those almost every at bat and either taking them or hitting weak fly balls.
