aaaaand 3 more Eater union staffers laid off today, along with 3 from Popsugar and 2 more from The Verge. Soon the company will have effectively wiped out the institutional union knowledge of its employees.
☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️ It's not a coincidence for example that last year's Vox layoffs hit Eater staff the hardest — the absolute core of the Vox Union; they were and are by FAR the most committed union members and the staffers with the most institutional memory of how unionizing works out all the verticals.
