I’m going to keep it real with you, MTA Metro-North Railroad: this is the worst thing I have ever seen in my life. You could print Goatse on the side of a Genesis and I’d be like well, it’s an improvement over that heritage veteran livery they did
Today we're unveiling our eighth locomotive in Metro-North’s Heritage Series—a moving tribute to our nation’s veterans.

Created and designed by Metro-North veterans, this locomotive embodies gratitude to those who have worn the uniform, both within the Metro-North family and across the country.

"biological pronouns" is an insane phrase
BREAKING: The Sixth Circuit, in a 10-7 en banc decision, holds that an Ohio school district's anti-bullying policy that requires students to use children's preferred pronouns is likely unconstitutional on these facts.

Judge Murphy, a Trump appointee, writes the court's decision.

obviously i'm glad that the Supreme Court decided not to hear the gay marriage challenge, but i really don't get why "a body that can unilaterally strip gay people of their rights deigned not to, for now" is being celebrated as if it's a major victory

Under Schumer's leadership, eight Democrats (Cortez Masto, Durbin, Fetterman, Hassan, Kaine, King, Rosen, & Shaheen) joined the Republicans in moving forward a bill to reopen the government without ACA subsidies—Dems' stated key aim—or any other real concessions from the status before the shutdown.

it plays right into the republican messaging that democrats were refusing to reopen the government just to score a cheap point on trump. and honestly? sure looks like that was exactly what they were doing
How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.

okay, so, with Dems successfully keeping anyone up in 2026 for voting for this turd let's take a look at who's up in 2026 anyway:

1. Cory Booker - apparently involved behind the scenes, constantly looking for bipartisanship. I don't dislike him personally but he doesn't have what we need. Primary.

Rick Scott, Mike Lee and Ron Johnson have not voted. They appear to be negotiating something with Thune in the back of the Senate chamber.

We are at 56-40
