This story is extraordinary even by 2025 standards. Marco Rubio, the nation's top diplomat, made a deal with Bukele and agreed to renege on informant agreements in a years-long DOJ investigation into MS-13, totally undercutting credibility of such agreements.

Rubio promised to betray U.S. informants to get Trump’s El Salvador prison deal
To secure U.S. access to President Nayib Bukele’s notorious CECOT prison, Rubio agreed to turn over several MS-13 leaders central to a long-running Justice Department investigation.

Children are starving in Gaza because of Israeli government policies. Hundreds of people from around the world organized a civilian flotilla to try to deliver food. Israel arrested them.

The United States must demand the immediate release of all detained Americans.

its hard to imagine a more embarrassing unforced error for the Dems than the "ban TikTok" fiasco.

Not only did they alienate youth voters, openly waffle on the First Amendment and let Trump claim to be the defender of "free speech," now they've literally handed the platform to Trump to control

It's pretty easy to cancel your Disney+ subscription, and a coordinated, national day of cancellations would send a very clear message about our values as Americans.
Heard from a friend at Disney+ that there are multiple levels of freakout internally, both from internal dissatisfaction, concerns about subscription cancelations, and of course the big one: concern about a boycott spilling over into parks and cruises.

Biomedical research isn't a YouTube video, you cannot hit pause for an indefinite period of time and then hit play whenever the regime wants.

Samples are destroyed, labs dismantled, scientists leave...
Here's what this means: it's probably unlawful forPOTUS to stop NIH funds from going to medical research, but POTUS can stop that medical research for a lengthy period of time while the Court of Federal Claims hears lawsuits

This, essentially, destroys the capacity for medical research in the US
Splitting 5-4 (with Chief Justice Roberts joining the three Democratic appointees in dissent), #SCOTUS grants *partial* stay to Trump administration in NIH funding case; holds that challenges to grant terminations (but *not* the underlying guidance) need to be filed in the Court of Federal Claims:

I think that what D.C. is showing us, more than anything, is that ICE, DEA, FBI, DHS, and Secret Service are all a fungible goo of oppression that can be poured Wherever The Leader Wants.

So yeah, abolish it all. Until the law exists again, and until that law serves everyone.

I still run Windows, Windows 11 now. I tried turning off all the ad shovelware nonsense, but I missed something, on the lock screen.

Three boxes with text. And before I can be properly annoyed I can already tell I'm starting to read this dumb crap. "What symbol of freedom sits in New York City?"

This will have to count as my Supreme Court term review.

I make that point that there's no point in reviewing what the Supreme Court has done because the rule of law is dead in this country anyway.

The Rule of Law Is Dead in the US
The rule of law presupposes that there are rules that provide a consistent, repeatable, and knowable set of outcomes. That’s no longer the case.
