I'm not the first person to tell you that perfection is the enemy of .. so much. But I've come to realize that it's really been a burden on me - and not just that, but on those around me. Trying to have perfect politics, perfect ethics and straining to reach a perfect standard of beauty/living expected of me as a white woman of Gen X - it's exhausting.
