Donald Trump can go f**k himself.

Anyone who mocks, demeans or minimises the sacrifices of British troops is no friend of our nation 🇬🇧

The US is a historic friend of the UK’s - but not this guy.

Nigel Farage has said he's “not making any money as a result of being an MP”.

MP's salary is £94k, putting him in the top 5% of earners.

Meanwhile he votes to keep workers on exploitative zero-hours contracts and denies them sick pay.

Amen.
In a speech to the World Economic Forum, Mark Carney says middle powers such as Canada must accept that the rules-based international order is effectively dead, and great power rivalry with is here to stay. Key excerpt:

Just reflexively oppositional, YOU NEGOTIATED THIS DEAL! If you'd not held the election when you did, Rishi would have signed it. YOU WERE IN THE FOREIGN OFFICE AT THE TIME.
This is (1) disgraceful at a moment of national danger, (2) laughably unserious and (3) deeply unwise when the President is obviously becoming incapacitated and the most unpopular person in the whole UK. Utterly disqualifying.

Susanna Reid asks Darren Jones what British companies who export to the US should do to prepare for a possible increase in tariffs.

Darren Jones replies: "you shouldn't prepare for a hypothetical"

It was always a tough argument as to why a British political party should spend domestic & international political capital, & the British taxpayer should foot the bill, to permit the US continued use of Diego Garcia.

Let’s use that leverage.

The initial complaint is correct - but it also isn’t a stop gap for university & a “proper career”. It’s long past time we treated other ranks in the military as the technically competent and skilled professionals the majority are.
We need to get away from "the military is for wastrels to improve themselves" that the current recruiting ads suggest. Free university tuition *and maintenance* for those who sign up would help.

Surely the Americans must now realise that their President is mentally unstable, much like the 'Mad King' in Game of Thrones.

The required action is the same as in that series - an American Jamie Lanister has to stab their mad king in the back and get rid.

Trump clearly see's the future of Gaza as a dodgy real estate project for him and his corrupt pals to milk as much money out of as possible, and nothing more.
Trump has invited Hungary’s PM Viktor Orban to join his so-called “Peace Council”. Orban says it recognizes Hungary’s role in seeking peace. Earlier, Bloomberg reported Trump plans to charge $1B for permanent seats in this body, pitched as an alternative to the UN.

Farage is the worst kind of coward.
Donald Trump threatens 10% tariffs on UK and Nigel Farage who has positioned himself as the president's best mate in Britain drops out of a much promoted interview on the BBC.

Strange.

Almost like the two things are connected.

Choosing sides between a rogue president bent on destroying the Western alliance and UK and EU governments finally standing up to him shouldn’t be difficult for mainstream political parties or news organisations. So come on Telegraph, Times, Badenoch and yes you Farage if you want to be PM…
