If you're able to, please use the template in this article to email Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Trust Chief Exec. Ben Travis on Savannah's behalf. Savannah is currently at QEH in South London and not receiving appropriate care for someone with very severe ME.

Some better news, for once. (Of course, in many places, damage has been done and rebuilding is nontrivial.) Still! 💪

The five best phrases I’ve heard for strong winds...

1. Blowing half a pelican (Danish)
2. Blowing hats and hay (Norwegian)
3. Blowing a hoolie (Scots)
4. Wind so strong it could blow a pig on to its hind legs (Estonian)
5. It’s so windy one of the chickens laid the same egg three times (English)

I found out today that one of the forces pushing Trump the hardest for this Greenland shit is… the owner of Estée Lauder.

Sharing this here because they own SO MANY makeup brands and I bet a lot of you might like to join me in not repurchasing anything from this makeup brand family!

Yesterday I finished writing my first short story of the year — my first fiction writing in over a year! It’s too soon to say I’ve got my mojo back, but I’m feeling a bit more optimistic about it than I did in 2025. 🤞

We have a major news story in our house. It's been building up for a few days and this afternoon came the denouement.

It's the story of a banana.

I once drove two hours to Los Angeles to see the fully restored “Lawrence of Arabia.”
I have driven 60 miles to see a movie. I once drove an hour to see "Bubba Ho Tep" literally 4 days before the DVD release.

The film industry is largely in the hands of people who don't love movies, and is suffering greatly because of it.

Los Angeles and Inland Empire folks, can someone help this sweet girl?
A neighbor was taken to a care facility, and her little tortoiseshell kitty was left behind. I can't take her in but I've been feeding her and giving her water every day. No one in the neighbor's family can take her in. Is there anyone in the Inland Empire area that could foster or adopt her?
