As these teens describe, AI can diminish human relationships; devalue art; threaten the environment; lead to laziness; give unreliable results; pose privacy concerns; and be misused.

So, please, stop with the narratives of inevitability and let's embrace a pedagogy and politics of refusal.
7 Reasons Teens Say No to AI
Some young people only turn to artificial-intelligence chatbots as a last resort, citing concerns about relationships, creativity, the environment and more.

Kind of amazing: Japan’s thoroughly corrupt LDP which has run the country into severe trouble might be heading for a huge election win. Germany’s CDU (with an even worse track record) will surely feel emboldened by this.
FREE FOR ALL READERS: A new poll from Asahi suggests that a landslide victory for the LDP could be coming. Meanwhile, Takaichi stirs up controversy on the yen, and takes a break from campaigning to meet with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

Chotiner: Tell me what you found interesting about these vampires.

Documentarian: Well, it's just -- the group dynamics, I guess.

Chotiner: I can see that. I can see finding Nandor, Laszlo and Nadia entertaining.

Documentarian: Exactly.

Chotiner: So. How many people did you watch them murder?

Yesterday in #Siracusa, the #OceanViking team disembarked the body of the woman we recovered at sea.

We held a ceremony to honour her.

She is the visible trace of thousands of invisible deaths in the #Mediterranean, where at least 32,342 people have gone missing since 2014.

Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.

Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.
