Some people (likely ones who didn’t read it) thought I wrote that book for “revenge,” but my sincerest hope was that it helped other people find a path to healing. I’m so so glad it did that, even if it was just for one person.

In brighter news, I was fed pierogis & cabbage tonight AND got to pet a cat's tubby belly. And I did not get clawed, clenched, or bitten!

Beauty, wonder, awe, fear, anything that is *beyond* us is so important to tap into precisely because we're like this. If you talk to a burning bush you're not going to go back to the child shredding factory and carry on with your day.

I pretty much realized this when I was about 18 or so and most of my friends had told me about their rapes by then (I was a good listener apparently). And the only thing that's changed in over forty years is the abusers have become more proud and parade their crimes with no shame.
We didn’t even need to be told this to know that ICE is being run by sex offenders, rapists, abusers, racists, fascists, & pedophiles.

This is because our entire government in being run by sex offenders, rapists, abusers, racists, fascists, & pedophiles.

Every photo from Minneapolis looks like this. Cops decked out with guns and full tac gear facing off against people in bathrobes, parkas, and sweatpants armed only with whistles and cell phones.

Yet every verified MAGA chode on X dutifully calls it a riot or violent insurrection.

this is a story for kitschy coffin connoisseurs, snoopers, dreamers, black comedy enjoyers, surrealists, and fans of one (1) specific Always Sunny episode
The first story from Issue #13 is now free to read!

Jude Kar's "The Coffinmaker" is a surreal trip through the final days of Caspian - a coffinmaker, an artist - as he attracts the ire of the camel-headed locals and raises questions about what we leave behind when we're gone.

How do we make racists feel even more alienated from even more of society??"
Today I wrote about the racist accommodation to the racist response to Bad Bunny's Super Bowl show; the moral hazard of extending good faith to those who act in bad faith; and how alienating white bigots is actually part of the solution, not a part of the problem. www.the-reframe.com/hating-the-g...
