"Revenge of the Swans" begins with a rewatch of Derek Jarman's The Angelic Conversation with Coil's brilliant soundtrack and then moves into some sickening or transcendent territory, depending on what kind of point of view you assume. I often find it easier interrogating a villain from the inside.

Finally had a chance to crack open my copy of the @southwestreview.bsky.social horror issue and found my story illustrated by @lumierebelge.bsky.social whose work I've followed for a few years. I'm not sure if the editors knew this; if so, thanks! If not, amazing confluence of energies, thanks!
