Treat a published work that was later divulged to be AI-generated the same way you would if you found out it was manually plagiarized from a different book. Same situation, just the plagiarism has been automated and averaged out a bit, and the plagiarist is also a scab and a cultural arsonist.

Yet role-playing "parlor games," simulations, and similar are centuries old and draw from a well that resembles all the positive stuff about D&D.

Why is DnD successful?
People really liked it and ran a lot of games.
They opened up their license to help avoid costly lawsuits which added the network benefit of 3rd party development (that's modders for money to new people).
Both of these things + a marketing and advertising budget are true.

The thing I love* most about progressive people is the insistence that everyone be judged by their grasp of theory rather than say their practical actions.
Once I realised that I don't care that much about _why_ people do the right thing, only that they are doing the right thing, life was better.

Not sure how noticeable it is but lately Ive been switching up my style a bit. Drawing the light instead of the shadows, been a really fun challenge
Super proud of this new stuff in that style, I think it brings out a more painted quality I'm loving 😊

I created a whole book about how to make your own DnD species and found so much cool stuff online.
Fortunately this was before the slop machines and their goons salted the earth. :(

I've seen an indie TTRPG project through to completion, worked with half a dozen artists and never once did I have to turn to AI to provide references for any of them. I was able to cobble together collages, moodboards and references myself. Not once did I have to turn to image generators.

No, it's not here to say outside of deepfakes, fraud, and other criminal uses. There are no legitimate uses in the commercial or artistic fields.
I'm glad that British artists are raising awareness of this because the cigarette ad sized budget is hard to push back against.

I detest layout to the point that I'm actively planning to move to markdown with possible images in for future books and pamphlets.
I love a well laid out book but having to do it myself is So painful.
