When BYU permitted an organization that openly violates the US constitution and our country’s laws to recruit on campus - it chose a side. This is not a “politically neutral” decision.
A BYU alumnus and two faculty members entered the job fair wearing pro-immigrant T-shirts with messages like “I stand with immigrants" and “The kingdom of God has no borders.”
An administrator told them to leave, saying BYU is “politically neutral,” and that if they refused they would be arrested.
Utahns take to the streets outside of BYU to protest Border Patrol’s presence at campus job fair
Border Patrol's inclusion at a BYU job fair sparks protests off campus, with some demonstrators saying the immigration crackdown doesn't fit with LDS Church principles.

I can't imagine what goes through the minds of men when they are called to, or as they serve in, the Quorum of the Twelve or the First Presidency.

I don't have to consider any of it. It'll never happen to me because I'm a woman.

But I think about the consequences of their failures anyway.

How the LDS immigrant community in Los Angeles launched a grassroots response to ICE raids
When federal agents swarmed Los Angeles, immigrant-heavy LDS congregations went to work protecting the vulnerable among them.

Being "pro-life" is such a farce 🙄
A newborn in Minneapolis hadn’t eaten for a day and a half.

ICE agents took her mother when she went to work, trying to make money for diapers.

Her 16-year-old and Bri, a local mother of two, saved that baby's life. @chabeli.bsky.social tells their story
When one mother was taken by ICE, another stepped in to donate breastmilk
Moms in Minneapolis are donating diapers, food and time to help families who have been ripped apart by ICE.

The funniest thing in the world to me is when elected officials expect you to know who they are.

My husband had an LDS public official at the temple when we were workers there, and he balked that my husband had to ask what his name was for name issue.

We didn't vote for you, dude!

Sometimes I have to remind myself that not every moral judgment I have needs to pass a vibe check because I'm Mormon and might be overreacting.

Sometimes, people are just wrong.

Like the guy who was naked in the hotel hot tub.

Remember when, during 9/11, we figured out as a country that playing traumatic footage on repeat 24 hours a day with no warning was incredibly detrimental to everyone's well-being?

We need to bring that back.

They’re trying to cover up a murder that is playing on a loop on every phone.
The state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says they've been informed by the FBI that US DOJ has said FBI will solely lead the investigation into Renee Nicole Good's killing by a federal officer. State investigators no longer have access to "case materials, scene evidence/investigative interviews"

Renee Good was murdered in broad daylight, and Republicans are acting as if it is ok. Where is your decency? Where is your humanity? When will y’all develop a backbone and actually represent the people that sent you here?

Dog people. When the waiting room is divided in a veterinarian's office, one said is for you. The other is for cats.

The one for cats has cat photos in it.

Please respect the wall because seeing your dog stresses out my cats👍🏽

Seriously though, it's kinda crazy to me that a person could attend the Jan 6 insurrection and then go on a Mormon mission months later. Does this not register as a sin or at least a red flag?
There's always a Mormon connection
Yes. Mormon. Form Farmington, Utah. Took a break from his influencer reign of terror to serve an LDS mission. 🤦‍♀️🤬
