In Swiss elections today, voters rejected a referendum that would have dedicated $5.6 billion to expanding highways & building new roads.

Green & left parties, which argued instead for spending the funds on transit & active mobility, successfully campaigned against the measure.
Swiss reject plans for bigger motorways and extra rights for landlords
Swiss voters had their say on Sunday on a set of ballots which went right down to the wire.
