Rhetorical questions are a useless dodge- the only valid response to illegal military action is impeachment and removal. The senate can’t start the process but they can call on and support their colleagues in the house. This is congress’s job. They’ve enabled this administration for nearly a year.

I really dislike it when people frame children’s books & media entirely in terms of how it will affect their development & adult life. I get that it’s important, but a lot of adults could do to remember that kids need to just exist & enjoy stuff in the moment, without any expectations or weight.

This is right. Also this was after failing w/other attempted moral panics— book bans over CRT were wildly unpopular! Shamefully, vilifying 1 of the most vulnerable groups- trans kids- worked to radicalize enough too online bigots & gullible NY times readers & now we live in rapidly rising fascism.
They developed the "high school girl's sports" angle as a wedge issue, to lever their way up to full society-wide discrimination. What's endlessly stunning to me is how many purported liberals a) helped them when it started & b) are still helping them even after the larger purpose has become clear!
