We learned yesterday that the district has blocked all K-5 access to YouTube on districts devices. We are concerned about the impact on teachers and students. Our statement in the thread ⤵️

Back in 2021 an ambitious reactionary used FAIR’s “alternative to ethnic studies” approach to attack & discredit already approved/ adopted social studies curricular standards. Unclear how FAIR was previously structured but it appears it only gained non profit status in 2023, w revenue over $1million

FAIR (stands for Foundation Against Intolerance and Racisim) was staffed by a predictable mix of “anti-woke” and “heterodox” folks, many of whom moved over to the “university of Austin” when FAIR failed to gain steam. The org still exists, attempting to both sides the culture war they manufacture.

The WSJ cast the community’s concerns as “far-fetched” but given the extensive, decades long careers and organizational ties of Mattson, & even more LeFever, it appears their concerns were warranted— the CNP & its members are fully committed to Christian nationalist infiltration at every level.

Despite living in Tennessee she frequently travels to CA, NV and elsewhere to make scenes at school board meetings & collaborate with political pastors like Jack Hibbs to try to have books removed from public schools. Now, England wants to train operatives to document/report schools/libraries.

Unclear how much $ Jill makes as head of PragerKids but with its nearly $70 million in revenue last year it’s likely plenty. She’s married to a plastic surgeon & they can afford private school tuition- why are these wealthy religious zealots so obsessed w/ the public schools working folks rely on?
