Hey Glendale! Our next election is June 2nd, 2026. The work starts now. School Board elections choose the people who govern our district. A well-governed school district benefits our entire community. We want Glendale's kids to be able to live where they grow up in a functioning, literate, and inclusive community - we all should care about who runs our public schools. Issues facing Glendale Unified include: • Trump closing the Dept. of Education, eliminating millions of dollars of federal funding for our district that supports everything from English Learners to Special Education to students experiencing poverty and homelessness. • The loss of Medicaid reimbursements for students with disabilities, which means these students will cease to have protections and services to which they are legally entitled. • ICE raids in our community causing children and families to avoid school. • Challenges recruiting and retaining talented teachers in this environment. • Ongoing legal threats from extremists who want to further undermine GUSD by draining budget and exhausting resources. • Cybersecurity and Al use in our schools and district.
