I post on UK issues because I spent much time & effort trying to warn people about the rightward shift of US "conservatives" and what it would lead to.

I moved here and see the same forces now working to capture the UK govt and impose what has been imposed on the US. I give a shit so I post & warn.
You see weeks/months of (funded) headlines about some topic the right wants pushed, then later, polling finds these things are public "concerns."

The tipoff in this one is "NetZero." That campaign started after US's Heartland Inst opened a UK office. Soon after that the NetZero propaganda began.
Found it hard to follow the argument he makes re inflow of millions of legal migrants being legal makes it worse. There is little awareness that net migration fall dramatically. (One in 6 people have noticed its not at record levels. Thats about boats) he says something different re legal flows?

Exactly. And a lot of it is just describing the results of relentless far right propaganda on social media, GB News and in ever-radicalising tabloids as if it were some greater Wisdom of the People politicians have no choice but to listen to

This is right.
The latest over at my newsletter:

Trump corruption is causing generational, potentially irreversible harm to the public interest and corporate oversight, and our shitty establishment press, with scattered exception, couldn't care less.

They expect members of Congress to vote yes on a bill to ban the insider trading that is making them very, very rich?

That is as absurd as expecting them to vote to limit campaign donations from moneyed interests -- who then "employ" them (if you know what I mean) after they leave govt.

At least nine senators reported stock purchases or sales last year involving companies in industries overseen by the committees they serve on. These transactions worry government watchdog groups, as a bipartisan effort to ban the practice has faltered on Capitol Hill. https://cnn.it/4kvq4RE

What actually happens is you reduce the ability to keep corporations under control, you drain govt, and you end up with a Trump.

Dear UK, in the US "pro-growth" means cutting taxes and regulations on corporations. It is a lobbyist term. It doesn't bring benefits to the public.

A lot of Republican voters are not good judges of what Republicans actually believe and want to do. Ie “mass deportation” means “he just wants to deport the criminals”

3. Then there’s the government’s parroting of Reform UK lines on immigration and small boats, despite all the evidence showing that when centrists ape the extreme right they simply empower it. It even went so far as to mimic Reform’s branding: www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Questions with answers that seem obvious to me: WHY won't elected officials outlaw corrupting campaign "donations" from special interests that are obvious bribery?

A second question: WHY won't they outlaw jobs, "consulting" fees, and other obvious ways elected officials & regulators are bribed?

The *only* response to this is all the other governors drop out.
Gov. Wes Moore (D-MD) says he was uninvited from a bipartisan White House dinner for governors

The people who run things - esp public discourse - and have been propagandizing that "too woke" killed the Democrats are the same people who were excusing the Epstein networks.

Now we know why they hate "woke."

The halftime show (the best one ever) was bad because it was "woke."

This is a very big deal. There were 25 co-conspirators who were let off the hook in a secret settlement. All men. Only Maxwell - female - was prosecuted.

This info - evidence - was concealed from her defense attys.
“Buried in a footnote of Ghislaine Maxwell’s court filing, she makes the bombshell claim that there are twenty-five accomplices of Jeffrey Epstein who entered into secret settlements and that there are four unnamed employee co-conspirators of Epstein.”

Short version: Racist Pedophile President
Crockett: "All this administration cares about is protecting the powerful and protecting pedophiles. They will do anything to distract from that, including deciding to put up in the middle of Black History Month the most racist thing that we've ever seen come out of a White House."

Watched the TPUSA halftime show on YouTube, and you're not going to believe this but it was basically just a bunch of white Christian identity signaling.

Also, though the audience looked like it was about 100 people, they piped in cheering sounds to make it seem like a crowd of thousands.
