I post on UK issues because I spent much time & effort trying to warn people about the rightward shift of US "conservatives" and what it would lead to.

I moved here and see the same forces now working to capture the UK govt and impose what has been imposed on the US. I give a shit so I post & warn.
I hope this isn't a Facebook loggyist gimmick that lets Facebook off the hook.

That's how tobacco lobbyists did it. They paid politicians to require a warning. That let the companies off the hook, making it the "personal responsibility" of people because they suppsedly had been warned.

UK and EU politicians read this. This is a big deal. It offers a way to country Trump's tariffs and fight the tech monopolies.

Savvy countries will discover there’s a way to mitigate the harm incurred by Trump’s tariffs—and it’ll boost their own economies while making goods cheaper too.

We all should be bugging those still using Twitter. They are supporting fascism by being there at this point, helping engagement. Being there keeps others there. Get everyone off Twitter - leave it as a Nazi wasteland.

This includes especially politicians and businesses.

Make it happen. Every one of us.
My predictions for 2026:

- Trump’s coalition will crack and he will be seen as politically finished

- We will see the first stirrings of Woke 2

- Multiracial, working class solidarity against the billionaire oligarchs will be back on the menu

- A new political era will be on the horizon

Let's hope so.
2025 was the year MAGA fucked around the American people.

2026 is going to be the year they find out.

It Always Starts With The Immigrants

It always starts with the immigrants. They're "not us." Extreme measures and abuses become OK. Because "they" are "not us." Then it moves to the minorities - as the definition of "us" is whittled down. "We" don't want "them" making demands, getting benefits,…

Then it moves to the minorities - as the definition of "us" is whittled down. "We" don't want "them" making demands, getting benefits, etc. Then the opposition is targeted because they're in the way. Of course the activists and unions are targets.

Again and again ICE says something, video shows they're lying.

"Officials of the Department of Homeland Security would later say that Villegas-Gonzalez “drove his car at law enforcement officers,” a claim clearly refuted by surveillance video."

Kind of wild how the take that some of Trump's supporters were "deplorable" was some huge scandal, but regularly screaming about "radical left scum" is just a thing he'll say with no media backlash.

Then 3 agents divvy up his paid for food—taking what they want for themselves.

"Can I just get the wife's number to call and let her know?" woman asks.

"No, guess he should've complied," agent says.
