lol please start w/ Calvary Chapel. Jack Hibbs has been recording himself preaching from the pulpit then mailing it to the IRS daring them to hold him to the law for over a decade. Entire church functions as a front for the Family Research Council & larger network of the Council for National Policy

Their economic policies hurt millions, their cultural prescriptions are oriented only toward re-establishing segregation & fortifying patriarchy. They’re a losing minority propped up by a web of orgs funded by the billionaires they serve. They have power now but there are so many more of us.

We owe it to our children as parents to help them navigate technology.
What you do @ home is your business.
There are MANY resources for navigating screentime in age-appropriate ways.
At school, kids need tools to learn.
GUSD has paid for these licenses & devices, & teachers need resources to teach.

Remember:
Public schools serve ALL students.
Teachers need tools to be able to meet students' needs.
Parents are free to ban all screens at home.

"Let's set a goal together.
Would you like me to sit with you while you work to keep you on task for 10 minutes?"

If your child is misusing YouTube on their District Chromebook, problem-solve:
come up with a plan to complete homework under supervision.

Bans don't work... for kids or teachers.
YouTube is a fundamental teaching tool in 2025. It:
-provides video/audio accommodation for kids on IEPs/504 plans & emerging readers.
-provides authentic language content for Dual Immersion.
-is a tool that kids will need throughout K-12, at any school.
