a lot of the skill (not all) of using coding agents is setting up small tasks with tight feedback loops where the thing can churn until it gets it right. with SOTA tools I pretty much never see the reward-hacking thing people complain about where it will, e.g., just change the test to make it pass

The word ‘head’ is etymologically related to ‘chef’, the head of a kitchen. And to ‘chief’, the head of a group.

These are also related to ‘cape’, a headland, and ‘per capita’, literally “by heads” – and yes, to Spanish ‘cabeza’ too.

Zoom in on my new graphic to learn all about this word family:

i don't usually comment on american politics but the tattoo thing is inescapable. really feels like another line being crossed - all these people demanding "why can't WE be nazis? THEY get to be nazis"! pundits, politicians and whoever it is that responds to polls.

Maybe our PM should take note of the reaction to the singing of the US national anthem in Perth. Him and his government need to read the room and get Australia away from those fascist lunatics.

If I was doing the shit Albanese's government is doing under the banner of a "workers party" I'd be keeping it a big fucken secret too.
The Albanese govt’s first term was the second most secretive on record.

Rather than changing their ways, they’re doubling down and tightening our FOI system to make it even harder to get information. Not a single expert or member of parliament outside of the Labor party has backed their new bill.
