The NY Times joins MAGA. The "sometimes violent" anti-fascists *might* include the Kirk shooter and perhaps another six individuals out of millions but the NY Times puts it first.

"Antifa is a term for a sometimes violent protest culture of far-left activists, but is not an actual organization."

I am doing a presentation on AI in education with emphasis on privacy. I did an experiment that is interesting.

I prompted Claude to tell me what it knows about me. It said it knew nothing. Gemini. Also, nothing.

ChatGPT had a perfectly nice summary.

For privacy, I like the first two.

If we lived in a decent country, we would have GDPR, too, and we would help Europe enforce it on these scumbags... except, of course, that they would have been shut down.... if America wasn't a corporate hellscape.

Motherfuckers better bite the bullet. It sucks if Trump forces the shutdown of SNAP. Communities are going to have to really stand up for their poor. But if those assholes put us through a month and a half of shutdown only to capitulate, I'm done with them.

My observation is that the arguments against AI usually indicate an unwillingness to scale that barrier, a certain lack of ambition.
There are basically only two positions in the debate about AI.
1. I’ve barely invested any time in learning how to use it effectively. AI sucks.
2. I’ve invested in learning how to use this tool. Holy cow, it’s transformational.

Position #1 has lower barriers to entry.

Incidentally "AI" does provide a yardstick to measure how bad and unusable regular search had become with all the pay-to-play and SEO crapification.

In a monopolised tech world where TINA (there is no alternative) dominates, it is very difficult to educate at scale about tech's true potential.

You could use Sora to have ICE guys in masks testifying about the horrible things they do, explaining their hideous racism and expressing pleasure in the joy they take in seeing peoples' lives ruined.

They couldn't dispute it because they are all masked.

I'd share that stuff out like crazy.

Reading this, I realized that an important protest tool should be people doing cosplay of ICE gestapo and flooding anyplace they go telling everyone they are under arrest and acting like gestapo thugs. People should start doing this everywhere.
