Re: Paul, I have been doing some reading, and I have realized Christianity is almost entirely a Pauline invention. Paul himself wrote that James (Jesus's brother) and Peter (one of the twelve apostles) did not agree with him and only met him once, maybe twice. Paul never met Jesus in actual life.
Here’s a fun top five: things that are consensus among historians but are essentially unknown by the public. Richard I, a bad king of England. Roman Empire, fell in 1453. Paul, more important than Jesus. Witch burning, a modern phenomenon not a medieval one. Britain last invaded in 1688. Yours?
As someone who wrote a dissertation on that damnable Frenchman; one can only hope.

there is a subtle and persistent mental warping effect that occurs when you have 30 to 500 people agreeing with your every opinion no matter what it is

I think it would be neat if there were some kinda video game where every time you defeat something, you get points for it. then if your character literally becomes more powerful. but it'd never work. it'd just get easier to win more points as you go! the game would just get easier.
