Tesla robotaxis get in crashes at 16 times the rate of human drivers.

Alan Moorhead pointed out at the time that to some extent surface naval warfare in WW2 was a bit of a throwback and aberration because Cunningham was rampaging around on HMS Come And Have A Go If You Think You’re Hard Enough like Cochrane with a hangover in a way nobody expected possible.

Nelson's Victory crew included a Brazilian and a Russian, 2 Indians, 2 Swiss, 2 Portuguese, 3 Danes and 3 Norwegian sailors. There were 3 Germans, 4 Italians, 6 Swedes, 7 Dutchmen, 9 West Indians and an African, as well as 21 Americans, 63 Irish, 64 Scots, 441 English.... oh, and 3 French men, too.

This one might be of interest to #NavalHistory Bluesky. The Norwegian Coastal Administration has released an underwater 3D photo scan of the wreck of the German heavy cruiser Blücher, sunk in the Oslofjord in April 1940. Super cool!
