Agreed, definitely worth noting for self-pub/indie writers. As we keep having to shift channels, focus on the avenues that are proving useful replacements. Looks like Payhip (with efficient approach) may be one of them.
Data point for fellow self-pub writers: can't remember when I opened my Payhip shop but I sold my first copy in 2015. I looked at lifetime sales, then last 6 months.
50% of lifetime sales came the past 6 months. If I change that to Sept (when I revamped the shop) to Dec it's 40% of lifetime sales.
