Agitation propaganda (physical protests, posters, newspapers and other things you can put into people's physical hands) has a stronger record of influencing people's opinions than online activism. I am being very serious when I say, boil some water and flower and put that wheat-paste to use.

The Minneapolis Police Department has declared tonight’s protest outside a downtown hotel an unlawful assembly, calling it a public nuisance, and ordered the crowd to disperse. bit.ly/3Yu1KW3

It's not an excuse, but it is worth remembering that mayors in most cities very much do not have control over their police departments if the mayor doesn't like something the cops want to do, a phenomenon that would be a red alert civ-mil alarm with the military but something we all accept w/cops

Maybe Frey is fine with this, not opening that can of worms, but the larger point is he could give a direct order for MPD to do the exact opposite and not only would the end result be the same, he'd be powerless to do anything about it because of how we've structured local govt-PD relations

It’s seems like this is it. Please pray for the safety of the people of Iran. Pray that everyone in the Iranian establishment who will sign off on the use of force against protesters is held to justice. And pray that corrupt politicians won’t be able to escape to Russia. One struggle.
The scale of the protests in Iran are absolutely unbelievable. Hard to quantify, but I've seen some speculation that this uprising is more significant than the 2023 protests (themselves the largest challenge to the regime since it came into power in '79.)

State governments have to charge ICE officers, because if they get used to killing with impunity, what happens next is going to be actual violent retaliation by random members of the public.

DO NOT DO THIS, dear reader, but someone else most certainly will, absent decisive state govt action.
There will be justice.

The choice now is whether the state government wants to be the one in charge of that process.

They are spitting in the eye of the poetntial jury pool, they have hollowed out the FBI and DOJ thoroughly, and every agency that would be involved lies faster than it breathes.

We're already at the point where some lunatic could Rittenhouse an ICE agent and have a real chance of staying free.

If you have any funds to spare and want to help Minneapolis right now, getting dash cams to observers is crucially important and especially after today
ICE observers in the Twin Cities are in need of dash cams to prevent further intimidation and frivolous claims.

Cams are $110, memory cards $35, and ship to us directly via this wish list: www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/...

If you've been looking for a way to help, we'd sure appreciate it!

For those not tapped into Minneapolis networks, just hearing random opinions on social media or decontextualized headlines, two notes:

1. This was a murder. The official DHS story is a blatant, obvious lie, and anyone who buys it is a mark.

2. Minneapolis is going to continue to show up.

Content warning in that the witness goes on to accurately describe the brutality of these fascists. Ongoing coverage here:
