Either I still look much younger than late 30s or I just have very strong youthful energy because I've just got "pal" off a bus driver 🤣🤣

I kind of assumed I'd get old enough that people would switch to "hen" eventually but looks like that hasn't happened yet!

Any suggestions of how I can make myself drink more water while I'm on annual leave? Really struggling - for some reason it's much easier while I'm working away at my desk!

I'm so blah even The Specials can't cheer me up.

I do like the old TOTP shows BBC2 are playing on Saturday nights. I did skip Kim Wilde but I just don't care much for her.

Literally only have a week now to finish all my xmas prep and wrapping and postage plus apprenticeship work. Blehhhh.

I slept so much today I was like, awesome, I can devote my Saturday to catching up on all this sleep because I'm now off work til Dec 2nd!

...it's now 3.39am and I'm still wide awake 😭

I’d hoped to be a person today but I’m just gonna have to settle for being an idea. Making myself eat a little something, drink some water, breathe… anything else is a bonus.

Abortion is healthcare.

They’re coming for reproductive freedoms and the Dems caving when they finally had momentum and the public on their side has shown the fascists that they can make increasingly cruel and harmful demands.

It’s utterly despicable and not at all surprising.
Republicans demand tougher abortion restrictions to extend Obamacare funds
Democrats say that’s a nonstarter, arguing there are already limits on abortion access. The dispute could torpedo a deal, leading to higher health insurance premiums for millions.

Does anybody else think of Victoria Wood when they see the Nolans? Because of the Dinnerladies episode where they're talking about sextuplets and Bren says it would be good "if you wanted to have the Nolans in a hurry" 🤣

Four weeks ago a 15 year old autistic boy went missing in Texas

His mom immediately filed a missing person’s report

6 days passed before she heard anything.

Turns out Houston PD found him the next day, but rather than return him to his Mom, they contacted ICE

He’s been in federal custody since

Federal workers make considerably more money than those on SNAP.

If they can’t afford groceries, what hope do the 40 million Americans about to lose food assistance have?

Purdue to the rescue of IU student newspaper, whose institution was attempting censorship. Details in alt!

I can't even imagine. I'm pretty sure the journalism dept at my uni would have had us staging a sit-in if this had happened here (mind you I graduated 15 years ago). How on earth can you have a newspaper that is not allowed to print news. I found this today due to the follow up, to come.
They're trying to prevent the student newspaper from printing news, period. Not just a particular story.

"The Media School directed us to print no news in the paper... nothing but information about homecoming — no other news at all, and particularly no traditional front page news coverage."
Indiana University has fired the staff director of the student newspaper, after disputes in which university leadership tried to pressure him to prevent students from publishing news.
