I want emotional damages from everyone who argued with me in law school.
Yet again, I call for Yale's accreditation to be yanked.
JD Vance: "Nobody is talking about doing immigration enforcement without a warrant. We're talking about different types of warrants that exist in our system. Typically in the immigration system, those are handled by administrative law judges. So we're talking about getting warrants from them."

In a just world, every lawyer who took part in this would be immediately disbarred
🚨HOLY CRAP. An ICE whistleblower just revealed a secret memo authorizing ICE officers to break into homes without a judicial warrant, which DHS's own legal training materials say is unconstitutional!

ICE then hid the memo from the public, passing it along by word of mouth and private conversation.

Yale Law should have it's accreditation pulled.
JD Vance: "The War Powers Act is fundamentally a fake and unconstitutional law"

Jon Stewart will never miss an opportunity to punch down
One of the most disappointing parts of Jon Stewart’s recent “joke” on masks is that ME and Long COVID advocates been calling on him to expose “the greatest medical scandal of the 21st century” on his show.

Instead he chose to ignore the topic and punch down.
In a crisis-filled world, breaking through the noise requires creativity, strategy — and, occasionally, a really good meme. This is why the #JohnVsJonVsME campaign began. bit.ly/4hTwUxa

DC famously has absolutely no other theaters for people to attend
This is not hard. Artists are not responsible for ensuring the Kennedy Center remains relevant and successful. The center’s board is responsible for that, in a fiduciary way. All of this energy being directed at artists should be re-directed at the board.

People keep ignoring the part where the TA in this story is trans and it is a part of a deliberate effort to remove trans people from public life and it is incredibly frustrating watching it happen over and over again! Details matter!
If you’re wondering why your friends in academia are a little on edge right now, it’s because an eighteen-year-old who hasn’t done the reading, doesn’t look at the assignment, and has does no critical thinking skills more complex than “because I think it’s in the Bible” can literally end your career

The University of Oklahoma has removed an instructor who was accused by a student of religious discrimination over a failing grade on a psychology paper in which she cited the Bible and argued that promoting a “belief in multiple genders” was “demonic.” https://cnn.it/4b6g3rd

look at how little effort it takes for someone on the conservative grievance circuit to destroy a life

millions of college kids have half assed an assignment at the last minute, you eat the F and move on

but the effort to push trans people out of public life will use whatever it can get
Worth noting that the student admits that she just threw the thing together in 30 minutes without reading the paper she was supposed to be responding to.

It is 2025. The EHRC in the UK keeps trying to materialize a trans bathroom ban out of a muddled UKSC opinion third-sexing all trans people. A bill to criminalise those who provide trans minors with transition care passed in the US House of Representatives.

And cis "allies" still think this helps.

It's an obvious tell. If you really believed you were protecting people who were victims of horrific sexual abuse, you would never *publicly display* pictures of that abuse without their permission.

Because of course, that's not the real motive, which is to point and gawk.
MTG using private pics of kids to make her point. I doubt this was done consentually.

Jeffries either couldn't whip this vote or didn't want to. Either way, should be disqualifying from leadership.
Henry Cuellar, Don Davis, and Vicente Gonzalez joined Republicans in voting to criminalize trans health care.

The bill passed only 216 to 214.

4 Republicans voted no. If they did too, it would have failed.

"This murder of Jews wouldn't have occurred if those Jews way over there hadn't done something to deserve it" is Nazi talk and you need to automatically report and block anyone who says it. Yes, even the cool leftists.
you know the Nazis also blamed the Jews for Kristallnacht, you can find many German diplomats expressing regret about the events followed by "but what can you expect when the Jews act this way?"

Antisemitism is one of the oldest hatreds. That otherwise intelligent people are shocked that it persists shows just how out of touch most people are from what antisemitism is.

it’s the ur-conspiracy at the base of them all and it’s why even “fun” conspiracies can be a slippery slope because the more you get into conspiratorial thinking the more likely you are to arrive at the same conclusion: everything is because of The Jews
Yes. It is also why so many destructive monstrous conspiracy theories that don’t “start” out anti-Semitic quickly end up that way

It’s just a bigotry that is so fundamental and pure in its evil that you will eventually or quickly get there if you choose to live that kind of life

I'm on my way to a Chanukah event. It should be a celebration but instead our community is once again mourning.

I will be thinking of everyone in Australia and those around the world in the Jewish Community who know this fear and loss.

We stand with you.

You don't have to blame antisemitism on the pronouncements of Zionists. You really don't. It doesn't make you seem politically attuned to the plight of Palestinians. It just makes Jews question whether you actually care about antisemitism at all outside of being labelled an antisemite.

If you’ve heard the “the Nazis got their ideas from the US segregationists” I beg you to please stop. This is both false and it minimizes historical European antisemitism in a misguided attempt to emphasize the nature of US anti-Black racism.

It’s horrific without comparison to Nazism.
May I politely encourage you to reconsider this framing. It is inaccurately stated and suggests consistent and strong linkages that do not exist.

The Nazis did not “get their ideas” from confederate laws. Antisemitism and anti-Jewish laws existed in Europe long before the Confederacy…

When even Disney adults boycotted Disneyland in protest of the fucking Jimmy Kimmel thing, you're left with no other conclusion than 'Harry Potter' fans being a special kind of cozy fascist, okay with any degree of harm to undesirables so long as it's out of their sight, for the sake of nostalgia.
Man do authors think this is cute and quirky?

What this post leaves out is that Nancy has spent most of her term doing everything she can to make women miserable but that doesnt warrant a mention because it's just the trans ones.
Nancy Mace has told people she is so frustrated with [Johnson] & sick of the way he has run the House—particularly how women are treated there—that she is planning to huddle with MTG next week to discuss following her lead & retiring early from Congress.
