Stats portfolio update

Question 1 of 5 first draft done. 176 pages. 4 are the actual assessment. The other 172 are the SPSS output I have to include (stats software).

Now taking bets on how many pages this will end up as, and will it be too big for turnitin!

Nottingham Goose Fair is around as old as the Robin Hood myth
In the myth, Robin Hood does go to a fair
THEREFORE
All modernised retellings of Robin Hood should have him going on the waltzers with a carton of chips & mushy peas, getting Marian to scream so a 17yo boy will spin them faster

Hope everyone has had a fun day at #TFNATION Reading minicon today. I couldn't go due to my appalling immune system and poorly dog, so I've had 'fun' staring at statistics instead. #TFN #StudentLife

Part of being autistic is being effing exhausted the whole time when you see people not thinking things through and making damaging decisions and *always* being the awkward one who points it out. I am tired.

I'm probably the straightest, anti-drugs person around (never touched a cigarette, barely drink...) but im seriously wondering how people get through Masters and PhD programmes without something...because boy does my brain hurt and has forgotten how to function at all

Henry Cavendish, the discoverer of hydrogen, was almost certainly autistic. He couldn't talk to more than one person at a time and never to women. He used to leave notes for his female staff and had an extra staircase built so he could avoid his housekeeper.

People say "autism never used to exist" and then you go to the Natural History Museum and the exhibit has a caption like "Born in 1762, The Revd [name] was famously irascible, steadfast in his routine, and dedicated his life to collecting 25,000 rare beetle specimens".
Fundamentally, the headbanging Right doesn't believe Autism (or ADHD) exists. Or in so far as it does exist, a human conspiracy has created it.

We're back to their core outlook that 'It didn't exist back in the good old days so can't exist now.'

'It must just be some modern woke Marxist nonsense'.

One thing that is persistent in 'explaining' the cause of autism over the years is blaming the mothers.

Refrigerator mum's was the theory for quite a while, that mums were cold and uncaring.

Then they got blamed for caring too much by getting them the MMR vaccine.

Now its taking paracetamol for

To understand how ignorant the anti-foreigner folks are, consider this photo from the hate march in London today.

That's the flag of Georgia they're waving.

Georgia. A foreign country.

I've got to present my MRes research ideas next week, so I thought I'd share with you all what I'm going to be up to.

'My research interrogates the promotive role of neurodivergent special interests and hyperfixations in the development of self and social identity.

Apparently, my antibiotics have triggered severe TMJ in the opposite side of my jaw than I usually feel it.

Honestly, im glad the summer is over as it's been a total write off. Id like my regular, chronically ill self back now. Covid and chest infections can do one

I hope everyone who picked up covid from ##TFNation are doing ok. Im just back from urgent care due to high heart rate, breathlessness and low oxygen levels. Luckily, no PE or pneumonia but I do have a severe chest infection though. If you're still not well, coughing, etc - go get checked

One possibility is that we have in fact ALREADY entered a New Dark Age — signs: none of this will be preserved, interest in history is collapsing, the barbarians are taking over, etc. — but that this fact is masked because the info-phenomenological experience of the moment is of hyperabundance.
It’s wild living in the Information Age and the Dark Age at the same time.
