Great look into the comprehensiveness of EEBO and EEBO-TCP and what that means for using those tools. Highly recommend for all computational bibliographers and early modernists doing large-scale work with EEBO

Shameful. This is just up the road from me. The same people who moan about youngsters hanging out in semi-abandoned town centres, outside KFC (where there is free WiFi) are the same kind who bleat about tax, socialism, inclusivity, art, disability, social care, refugees and migrants … So here we are
And politicians shrug and say "Something wrong with young people today. Mystery. Can't figure it out. Guess we'll have to bully them some more."

The idea that there's a "deference to youth" is almost funny. Almost the entirety of UK politics centres around catering to boomer sensibilities.
Rowling and Liddle are both repugnant, hate-driven arseholes, and this stuff is saying that believing they are is some kind of wild extremist insanity that must be expunged. How long do we think these miniature Canutes can send back the incoming tide, do we think?

What else can I conclude from this if not that the so-called Heritage Foundation hates black people?
Two panels commemorating the contribution of Black American soldiers towards the liberation of the Netherlands in World War Two have been quietly removed from a cemetery in Limburg. It follows a complaint by right-wing think tank The Heritage Foundation to the American Battle Monuments Commission.

Labour is persisting with a “nukes plus NATO” defence policy that is likely to lead to further wars. A new independent report counters this disastrous narrative.

The #British Library is an essential part of maintaining #British culture and heritage. It is in the heart of London and its workers need a pay increase not a pay cut.
Solidarity with @pcsunion.bsky.social workers at the British Library.
300 workers on strike. Some of them having to take second jobs or taking out loans just to be able to survive.
A Pay "award" below inflation is a pay cut. Unacceptable.
Solidarity - and keep organising! ✊🏼

There has been wonderful support and solidarity for Library workers on the picket line these past two weeks. Today, the writer, Zadie Smith, read out her thoughts about the dispute, the Library, the country, its culture and heritage. Her values, ‘arguments’ and solidarity mean the world to me. 🙏👊🖤♥️
