Accountability!
We held a protest at Collins’s office in Portland earlier today, and then went around the corner to King’s. They locked the door and turned off the lights, and didn’t answer the phone.

Yes, Mr. President: You’re right. We do have “the worst health care” of any major country.

Despite spending twice as much per capita, we are the only major country not to guarantee health care to all as a human right.

The solution: Medicare for All.

If you are that afraid of someone knocking on your door, you should be institutionalized, not in a society.

ICE's secretive detention rooms allow a "total lack of oversight" on the conditions people are held in.
Revealed: ICE violates its own policy by holding people in secretive rooms for days or weeks
Guardian analysis finds ICE increasingly keeps people in holding rooms with little oversight, as some facilities see a 600% rise in detention length

Again, this is the kind of stuff you read in the “Never Again” genre of Holocaust, KL and GULAG survivor literature. Someday everyone responsible for this must and will pay the price
Her husband told her that detainees at Broadview had to get up at 5am to get in line for one bathroom. He often peed himself. One time he had to wait until 2pm to use the bathroom. You could only use the bathroom once a day. He said the agents would beat you if you used the bathroom on yourself.

Fuck AI. I am not going to any cute industry events about AI. I am not using it to write anything. It is not my friend. It’s fucking awful.
The rapid proliferation of services powered by artificial intelligence, ranging from the genuinely useful to the frivolous to the unnecessary, has a common element: the need for vast amounts of electricity and water for the data centers that make them possible.

Pal, I appreciate the input, but the fact is that I Iive in ME-02, in a town that Trump won in 2024 two to one

Even here, the mood on Trump has been souring enormously

We don't need Jared Golden. That's a lie that people tell themselves to avoid holding electeds like Jared Golden accountable
right and this attitude is almost certainly going to be the reason we lose ME-02 next year and potentially blow TX sen

I don't think that helps us, actually

Easily several hundred people have packed into this plaza in Chicago's North Center tonight in response to ICE abducting a daycare worker early this morning.

This is a neighborhood that has largely been spared until now from the "Midway Blitz" terror campaign. But everyone knows someone affected.

Jared Golden turned hard on the VERY people who got him elected in 2018. He refuses to meet with groups like Indivisible, calling them “dark money.” The brave marine, who said he cares about “service,” refuses to hold town halls bc he might be yelled at by retired teachers.

GO DUNLAP.
