Beyond belief that this group could be funded by the TAS state government. Imagine if we discovered that there were other allegations about them.
Camp for at-risk youths dressed workers in balaclavas
A taxpayer-funded mentoring program for at-risk Tasmanian youths posted footage on social media showing workers at a camp dressed in black clothes and balaclavas.

It’s getting cold and Ranin is pregnant and has a one year old. If you can help her winterize her tent it would be appreciated
I’m sharing a Palestinian account every day and today is Ranin. Ranin was a teacher before this. Ranin had two children Misk, 2 and Sanad, 1 but she lost sweet little Misk. Ranin is also pregnant and her tent was flooded this week. She has a new fundraiser and could really use help.

i just have a hard time believing police officers were injured, and so should anyone else capable of cognition.
Twenty-one people were arrested Friday morning during a protest outside the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement processing center in Broadview following a skirmish in which several police officers were injured.

This Labor party is rotten to the core. Imagine saying kids are too young to understand what they’re reading online but old enough to spend the rest of their lives in prison if they commit a violent crime. It’s demented. But what both policies share is an extreme need to control and punish kids.

“That means courts will treat these children like adults” is a sentence the premier actually used. Proposing life sentences for 14-16 year olds is evil. Meanwhile the federal government is banning kids the same age from social media. Too young to post online but not to serve life in prison.
These reforms violate human rights obligations, contradict the evidence and will be devastating for children and young people in conflict with the law.
Victoria’s ‘adult time for violent crime’ reforms will not solve the youth crime problem

It's about how Meta is cramming generative video slop (the most energy-intensive of the gen systems) into its massive global advertising engine: a recipe for an order magnitude worsening of its already-huge harms 😱
