It's very important to read movie critics whose taste you find baffling, because you know that if they like something, you will not. Noah does that for me. Weapons is a terrible film.
okay, watched weapons....which was better than wake up dead man or die my love or kpop demon hunters. though I still have some caveats...but I feel like I've at least broken my streak of movies I loathe.

Since some people have questioned whether this really happened—or whether such a policy actually exists—here's an auto-generated transcript (with errors) from the voicemail canceling our reservation, and a sign posted next to the front desk when we arrived.

A Hampton Inn in Asheville just canceled my family's reservation because our address (incorrectly) showed Asheville—and the hotel bars locals within 50 miles.

When I asked why, they said, "because of our homeless population," adding that most hotels here have similar policies.

This is outrageous.

Hitler was really against animal cruelty. The laws against it that the Nazis elected are still in effect.
Black people can.

Too often we see White people loving animals and hating us.
I can’t fathom how she was a defender of animals and animal rights and a racist.

The President of the United States appears to be getting regular IV infusions, the public doesn’t know anything about it, & the DC media evidently doesn’t care.

We are months into the mystery of Trump’s hands, the White House is lying, & I’ve seen a grand total of one serious news story about it.
Trump looked pretty rough today -- note that both of his hands are discolored

Oh...the children have discovered that Brigitte Bardot was incredibly racist.

My babies, that lady was convicted five times for inciting racial hatred. She was also homophobic as hell.

Her legacy is as bad as the man who talked out of the side of his neck all the way to his grave.

“The vaccination has stuff we don’t trust,” said the father of the 6-year-old girl who died of measles. In March, Tom Bartlett wrote about his visit with a family confronting an unthinkable tragedy.

This also makes her animal activism look pretty suss.
This is from Bardot's memoir "Un cri dans le silence" btw. I've seen a lot of people mentioning her "right wing politics" with a hand wave, so they can talk about her beauty or animal activism, but not actually sitting with the ugliness of her legacy.
