I wonder if, in spite of the fact Chester has lived in Aotearoa his whole life, he's partial to American accents? The only friend of ours he's been really cool with has an American accent, & now he's being really sweet & loving to my mum and stepdad. Like, he's been shockingly awesome with them tbh.
