The USA *is* special because it's a stew of so very many cultures - and it brings a tear to my eye to see one of those cultures celebrated so boldly, so passionately, during the USA's biggest sports event. Especially now. It's really beautiful.

Not a fan of how NBC (or is the Olympics themselves?) is filming the speed skating. Every shot is a close up, so you can't see 1) how fast they're moving relative to the course or 2) their distance relative to each other!
