Minneapolis. Clearly a shit poster past his prime such as myself is very cool and wise and deserves a ton of respect and deference. This is a parody account. All posts are non-actionable parody.

I am not a social media influencer I am just a regular Minneapolis dad trying to do a kid pickup this morning and get some gas. What do I find but that one guy and a bunch of bortech (whatever that is) blocking the station for a glamour shot. I stood right where I wanted to stand this is my town.

Abolish ICE.

There’s no reforming it.

There’s no compromise.

There’s only one way to rein in ICE’s terror campaign. Abolish it.

If you’re looking for some new music and are a recently radicalized beer dad or wine mom or cocktail they, I highly recommend Chumbawumba …no seriously, Chumbawumba but not the song you already know, all their other stuff. You will be shocked at how good it is I promise.

News Flash from the Economist: Water Wet
It is hard to escape the conclusion that ICE’s victimisation of Democratic-leaning cities like Minneapolis is more about politics than stemming illegal immigration
Immigration agents have become Donald Trump’s personal posse
That is a liability for America and, increasingly, for him

In the south side of Minneapolis, community members have started setting up filter blockades- which are make shift roundabouts. The intent is to slow down the erratic ICE driving behavior among other things. Full report to come on @statuscoupnews.bsky.social

So no, there has been no "draw-down". Homan lies just like the rest of them. As long as nothing changes with the basic "training", nothing will change.

I know it's not really the job of celebrities to know what's happening on the ground, but it's disheartening to see that people are accepting what the mayor and cops are saying at face value.

The county attorney said MPD won't interfere because they don't want a civil war on the streets.
This is the correct way to police ICE. And it drives the far right nuts. Good.

Twin Cities rapid responders have set up a "filter blockade" at 34th and Cedar and are calling for volunteers and donations. This is a new tactic developing over the last week: community is allowed to pass, but ICE agents are stopped/slowed before they can terrorize our neighbors.

About 30 people holding the intersection of Cedar and 34th to oppose ICE. Other block parties happening in other parts of the neighborhood. People say they want a peaceful joyful way to remind the public what's happening and to pressure city authorities to take action.

out there. It may amaze Democrats but popular people are not superprotestors entitled to extra attention or special consideration.

"You shouldn't criticise popular people," is never a good heuristic. This is probably about @whstancil.bsky.social not respecting security concerns from activists. He should respect security concerns from them. Him being a special boy with lots of followers is not a compelling counter. Good he's

some good news buried among the horrible behavior listed:

“The third woman said federal agents at her hotel are subsisting on microwavable bowls of Campbell’s chicken noodle soup, because it’s become so difficult for them to find restaurants willing to serve them.”
I visited hotels all over Minneapolis, went into back rooms & talked to the staff.

They're afraid.

One told me she resents how her undocumented coworkers spend their days cleaning the rooms of agents who are “hunting down their family members.”

Minneapolis’ Hotel Workers Are on Edge
Staff across the city told NOTUS how their lives have changed since the start of the federal immigration operation. “It's frightening,” one said.

That’s the truth. I may post stuff I’m doing as I’m out running streets, bike ride for Alex today and mixing it up. But my wife doing a ton of “behind the scenes” things from organizing/fundraising/communications etc.

And just saw while picking up detainee at Whipple, amazing civilians/org there

I will also add that everyone you see posting on here from MN is doing lots that they AREN'T posting about, and it's very likely that MN friends who have been oddly quiet are also doing things they can't or won't discuss right now. Someday, in the distant future, we can tell you stories.

Just got gassed pretty good at the labor union anti-ICE protest in Portland. Massive march, 5-10k strong. Vibes were very much liberal rather than radical. Lots of kids and older folks.

They gassed the whole crowd as soon as it marched on ICE, in broad daylight.

There’s no room for ego here in Minneapolis. Shut up and act. Shut up and serve. Shut up or speak lovingly. At some point your ego just helps ICE and hurts vulnerable people.

Imagine for a moment you got invited to a party. You bring a documentarian and a film crew to that party, people ask you to leave, and you throw a tantrum.

RR/observer training goes over issues like consent and group agreements that could have helped
