Friendly tip for folks. My discord got hacked yesterday and my computer was acting funky ever since. Turns out it was malware installed through a blender file I bought as part of an asset pack on CG Trader. I didn’t know blender files were being used this way, but I figured I’d spread the word.

Don't care about Graphix. Only Giraffx. Tokyo Jungle has good Giraffx as shown by this in game giraffe wearing a straw hat.

Interesting talking to a company outside of games. They were concerned that 40hrs/wk might scare me off. And that there's optional (PAID) overtime during peak season.

I've regularly worked more than 40hrs a week (as much as I've tried not to), and I have NEVER been paid for the OT in gamedev

every time I see obsidian's tools, I want them. we built our own for adios but it's nowhere near as complicated for the simple fact that we don't have an obsidian-sized budget or years of R&D behind it

furries (aspirational)
This fandom has a reputation for being "suspiciously wealthy" but the truth is most furries just love and value art and people so much that they want to use their money for art and supporting artists so they can make a living doing what they love. It's a cycle of genuine passion I think.

I'd also add that many of these learned assumptions about how other people are feeling/reacting are significantly more likely to be true in grade school and a lot of autistic people can get stuck in them and make it well into their 30s assuming middle school dynamics still apply 100% of the time

Heh. I actually do "experience pleasure," just like any normal person. I have pleasurable experiences every day. I read books, of course, and watch movies. Even the odd television show. I consume food and experience the same pleasure as everybody else. I enjoy things. I am capable of enjoying things

A lot of the original Jurassic Park was about how the dinosaurs Wu made were and weren't authentic, what "authentic" even means for an extinct species being artificially brought back with no reference, and what their behavior meant about control of capital-c Complex systems.
