Found the tweet that Joyce Carol Oates bodied Elon Musk with and it's so beautiful in its eloquent, simple take down. So much so he's crashing out trying to prove he reads books now. Put this in the Louvre.

Call your Senators no matter how they voted but especially if they are one of the 8 turncoats

And stay on the line to tell the turncoat staff that they should stop working for someone who would sell out the people

Never forget that a Democratic US Attorney’s decision to prosecute Aaron Swartz for downloading JSTOR PDFs contributed to his suicide but AI firms’ decision to download everything ever will be a justification for hundreds of billions of dollars of taxpayer bailouts and legal exemptions.

Hearing from more people after this went out.

"We're all pissed. This was a lot of unnecessary stress on people and their families for nothing. And if I win the lottery tonight I absolutely will spend millions to hire people to follow these 8 Dems around for a year and make their lives miserable."
I heard from a bunch of federal employees last night and this morning. They aren't happy.

"I would rather be an actual pawn. At least pawn sacrifices are calculated and achieve something. All this for a fucking meaningless vote."

I've already called and emailed twice. Call your Dem senators and tell them to take action to preserve the ACA premium subsidies now! Our power to protect it is now, not later! If you have Republican Senators, call them just to taunt them and tell them no one likes them.
I'm going to try to call Fetterman's offices as much as humanly possible today. It probably won't do anything, but it will make me feel better. That man is a disgrace.

NEW: The First Circuit Court of Appeals has denied the Trump admin's efforts to stop the release of full funding for November's SNAP benefits payments as ordered by a lower court judge.

The Supreme Court's administrative stay will now expire 48 hours after the 1st Circuit's ruling.

Agree.

Sen Hassan, asked what will happen if Republicans don't carry out the deal, "Well, shame on them."

This is not what people were mobilizing for on Oct 18.

I know nothing is official yet, but I feel like I could throw up.
Hi, this is me. 70% of my reliable teaching income next year will be eaten up by my health insurance, which I need because I'm chronically ill.
I hope those 8 dems who voted yes never have a moment's peace.

Stories like Kara's are why we need to find a solution that will give families the healthcare relief they need and end this shutdown.

I spent a good chunk of the past 11 months angry, angry at what this regime is doing to this country.

But im feeling levels of unbridled rage that I have not felt in years after watching the democrats negate their biggest win in years with a deal that gives the regime an even bigger victory

How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.

I will not support a deal that does nothing to make health care more affordable.

We are in a health care emergency. A simple one-year extension of these tax credits would cost less than Donald Trump’s $40 billion bailout for Argentina.

A vote for this bill is a mistake.
