Heads up on the new Affinity program.
You can tell them not to use your content to train AI, BUT, there is another AI setting that is on by default until you turn it off.
You need to go to your account settings and switch it off. I just found it switched on by default.

I had a painter come into my flat to look at some walls my landlord wanted doing up and within five minutes he was explaining to me how he’s not a bad guy but he’s going Reform because lawyers care more about human rights for illegal immigrants than people like him. In my own home.
I keep seeing supposedly progressive podcasts saying “the problem is that people feel like they just can’t talk about these issues” while these issues are frequently the *only* thing that people are talking about 😩

kind of bothers me when fans interpret fandom behaviors as direct "answers" to institutional problems and not often self-serving means of pleasure and catharsis that hold no bearing on the world at large, and require a degree of intellectual nuance that 80% of discourse participants lack.

Hey. Fat people also deserve food. Fat people using snap benefits deserve to eat guiltfree. Going without will not make them instantly skinny, and in some cases, like those with diabetes, not eating on a set schedule can exacerbate health problems. Being fat does not equal laziness or weak morality.
