So when thousands of women (and children) were being duplicated--including in non-consensual AI porn--it was no big deal. But it took "only a 15-sec clip" of these two famous white men to draw outrage and fear. Gotcha. Cool cool.
It took only a 15-second clip of Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt duking it out on a crumbling rooftop — made by A.I. with a two-sentence prompt and the click of a button — to draw swift outrage, and sizable fear, from Hollywood.

"It’s nothing short of terrifying," one scriptwriter said.
Why an A.I. Video of Tom Cruise Battling Brad Pitt Spooked Hollywood
A 15-second clip created by an artificial intelligence tool owned by the Chinese technology company ByteDance appears more cinematic than anything so far.

Let me tell you a tale of how completely the normies have been mobilized. My 14 year-old niece has done School of Rock for the past 5 years; last summer she was part of their touring band, and the kids loved playing together so much that they decided to keep doing it. (1/?)

One of the things language like this does is conveys the way that leftism is seen as feminized in america. Leftists are called “hysterical,” told we “throw tantrums,” and “are shrill and unreasonable.”

This is the language of cultural misogyny, used to denigrate and silence women.
This is—ironically enough—what I am talking about.

RW voters who demand their bigotries be accommodated are never "radical" or "throwing a tantrum." No—those are "swing voters" to pursue, even as they fail to show up time & again. The goal here isn't a bigger tent, but to prevent movement leftward.

"due to fundamental mathematical constraints that cannot be solved through better engineering" <- a lot of linguistic gymnastics to say that "hallucinations" are a feature, not a bug
OpenAI ”acknowledged in its own research that LLMs will always produce hallucinations due to fundamental mathematical constraints that cannot be solved through better engineering, marking a significant admission from one of the AI industry’s leading companies.”

You can’t trust chatbots.

Still thinking about this quote.
"Our standing rule is: If one of us brings up using GenAI in any of our work, then it's safe to assume we've been assimilated by The Thing and should be burned alive by Kurt Russell," said a game design consultant in the US.
Over 50% of game developers now think generative AI is bad for the industry, a dramatic increase from just 2 years ago: 'I'd rather quit the industry than use generative AI'
The latest GDC survey also found that managers are more likely to use generative AI than their employees.

I’m glad we’re finally classing whistles as a violent weapon.
Now we can go after a whole new class of monsters that deploy them against children like coaches and @gopher33j.bsky.social and crossing guards and life guards.
Trump supporters are claiming that whistles should be “considered a violent weapon,” that their use constitutes “interference” with immigration enforcement operations or even “assault.”

In other words—the rapid response networks are working. The whistles are working.

Let no one tell you otherwise.

“DHS traps people with serial killer methods” arrives in the news one (1) day after “DHS taunts jailed children with Nazi methods,” for those keeping track
ICE using the same ruse that Ted Bundy used to kidnap people should tell you something.
CCTV footage appears to show DHS agents posing as people having car trouble in order to lure a target out of his house before arresting them. The target comes out and starts helping them before 3 vehicles surround the scene. The car "experiencing" trouble then drives off with them.

Something else to look for is cuts in an ai video at ten seconds and under. Saw a 30 sec video of a “house walkthrough” that I clocked as ai once I realized that it was cutting to a different segment at exactly 10 secs each time. Starts walking up to house, at ten secs switches to the bedroom, etc.
psa most AI videos at this time are 10 seconds and under - so if you see something that seems outrageous and is either ten seconds exactly or below that threshold look for inconsistencies with patterns and blurring during movement where all detail leaves.
