Most already are IMHO. Kamala campaigned with Liz Cheney. Many Senators approved T nominees. Democrats planned the inauguration for the person they said was a fascist. Most condemned student protestors as antisemitic....

The reaction to the White House east wing demolition is pretty telling in how far along we are in the property over people mindset.

I want more people to care that SNAP benefits are being cut off on November 1. 40% of SNAP beneficiaries are children. This is callous and vile.

Since people in the government are breaking the law by firing many CDC staff, it might be wise to get out those masks. I personally never stopped wearing mine (for multiple reasons) but now the stakes have been raised (as if it wasn't bad enough). Covid isn't the only concern.

some people respond to things like this with “it’s not like it’s all intentionally, it’s not some grand scheme!”
but it is! the grand scheme is called WHITE SUPREMACY. racialized capitalism.
it is 101,001 decisions made in the name of “people like me benefit, people not like me suffer.”

also hello hello white people did this intentionally because they CHOSE to abandon cities for the suburbs and then intentionally defund government, public schools, parks, and library systems
and the Black middle class was sacrificed so white flight could happen more easily

Cities with high “crime rates” are resource deprived cities populated by marginalized communities. They’re often poor, have limited access to social safety nets, and are over-policed.

it's the Billionaire Disease (they may not all have a billion, but they almost all have the disease - even the ones you might like)
Once you reach a certain threshold of wealth your brain breaks, you completely disassociate from reality. Wealth cap should be mandated as a mental health protection.

Today is a great day to impeach the president.
If any other president in all of history said the military should use American cities as a training ground he would be removed from office that same day. The hardest thing to tolerate in all this is how relatively silent elected democrats are. It’s ridiculous.

Medicaid is great! Let's take this further and do Medicare for all. I'm not voting for any Senate candidate in MN unless they full throatedly support universal health Care.
As a kid with chronic asthma, Medicaid saved my life.
Now, I’m fighting for kids like Bentley and moms like Kris who are counting on Medicaid too.

The Billionaire disease.
And billionaires are the same way. How can you care so much about making more money when you have over $100M or $100B??? But they do. Money is a disease. If I ever have enough money to fly first class anywhere I want to go, that's enough money.

Moderates don't want change. They don't realize when things aren't working for most and don't seem to care as long as their life is good. They think they are good people and won't self-examine. They won't question the racism of institutions. I've been thinking about this quote a lot lately too.
Been thinking a lot on this MLK Jr. quote lately:
“I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizens Councillor or the Ku Klux Klanner but the white moderate who is more devoted to order than to justice…”

Significantly better plan than constantly clearing homeless encampments which is also really freaking expensive and fully inhumane.
According to the National Alliance To End Homelessness around $10 billion to house everyone who's homeless at the start. To sustain it, more would be needed.
If it's $10 billion yearly, $100 billion would cover ten years of keeping everyone in a home.

A lovely story about how disbanding the police department resulted in more safety. More of this please.
Camden had zero homicides this summer. City and county leaders credit the 2013 disbandment of its police department.
Violent crime is at a 50-year low.
This is amazing.
