just spent like 2 hours trying to decide what hotel I'm going to move to next (4th this trip... can't recommend chasing gov rate rooms in Tucson during the Gem Show) and completely forgot I needed to get one with laundry since I'm running out of clean clothes again.

Let me tell you, police procedurals wildly undersell the sheer number of people and man hours needed, and oversell basically everything else.

Need to cheer myself up so here's the best Twitter post ever. It spawned one billion bad ripoffs but it's a beautiful magic trick. You don't just read it in his voice: he said it now. This quote is real.

Not for nothing, the person who coined the "Kamala is a cop" meme that took off like wildfire in "leftists" circles was a woman who was convicted under Harris' tenure as AG for indecent contact with a minor, a teenage boy.

You heard about the prosecutor defending ICE who broke in court said “the system sucks. This job sucks.”

She isn’t the only one frustrated.

Philly’s federal judges are reaching to Greek mythology metaphors to express their frustration.

Philly federal judges are growing frustrated with ICE policy to detain most undocumented immigrants
ICE “continues to act contrary to law, to spend taxpayer money needlessly, and to waste the scarce resources of the judiciary," one judge wrote.

This is very similar to the AI videos my dad sends me thinking it's real.

There's a huge market for AI women giving testimonies that appeal to men/what they want hear, even further reducing the chance they will question if it's even real.
Over on X, the Everything App, serious conservative thinker Dinesh D'Souza shared a video of an AI-generated woman on a fake podcast he seemingly thought was real, telling the audience that young women should get with older men. Dude, wtf?

after two separate people called yesterday to ask if I needed a room in the hotel block, and I said I did...... I still did not end up with a room in the hotel block!
I would be surprised, and in another city without a hotel room, if this hadn't happened to me before.
